The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Eva received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $650 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in May.
Eva called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $145 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Eva is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
