Could you drive Dineo to Cape Town Regional Medical Center on Friday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Dineo has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Cape Town Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Dineo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 11 km each way. Dineo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • sending good thoughts, Lesego. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

    • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Eldoret!

      • Good luck, Lesego. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.

        • Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. After 19 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
