Looking for a friendly person in Cairo to visit Mona once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Mona, who's 90. Mona lives alone in Cairo, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 812 kilometers away. Mona loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • stay strong. Hope you get there. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Cairo

    • Hope things get better soon. Get well soon. Put this on a community board in Fresno this morning. God bless.

      • Wishing you the best, Qasim. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.

        • Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Montego Bay.
