Companionship wanted: Halima's crossword puzzles and a cup of tea

Halima lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Halima, who's 73. Halima lives alone in Wudil, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Halima loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thanks for being kind about this.
