Companionship wanted: Bakari's baking and a cup of tea

I'm writing for my neighbor Bakari, who's 74. Bakari lives alone in Dar es Salaam, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 455 kilometers away. Bakari loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
