I'm caring for my mother, who's 84. After the death of her spouse Ursula can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ursula desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Ursula worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,100 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $320 • Medication and prescriptions: $510 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $270 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
