Care for Shirley, 75: help cover a carer and medication in Cincinnati
Help Shirley stay in her own home with eight months of part-time care.

I'm caring for me, who's 75. After the death of her spouse Shirley can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Shirley desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Shirley worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,850 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,450
• Medication and prescriptions: $690
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $430
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $280
Glad we found this place.

Sending love. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Jacksonville
Hang in there, Shirley. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Mthatha so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Cincinnati.
Thanks for sharing this, Shirley. Hope the doctors have good news. It's not much but it's yours
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Nairobi so I could bring a meal. Take care
