Care for Ming, 87: help cover a carer and medication in San Francisco

I'm caring for my father, who's 87. After worsening Parkinson's disease Ming can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ming desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ming worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,750 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $4,400
• Medication and prescriptions: $770
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $300
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $280
