Care for Mia, 90: help cover a carer and medication in Mobile
Mia, 90, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $6,500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 90. After a heart attack Mia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mia desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Mia worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $6,500 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $5,500
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $550
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $450
