Build a wheelchair ramp for Alexander in Erie
Alexander uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇸 Pennsylvania, United States373 views
Alexander has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Alexander can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Alexander's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Bella. Hope the doctors have good news. Wish I lived closer to Cairns so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
sending strength, Bella. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
