I'm a home-care aide living in San Jose. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,650, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Wishing you the best. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Radom donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Radom.

    • You're not alone, Mateo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Take care

      • Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
