Samantha was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Bristol Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,650, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Bristol Community Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Samantha struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Samantha won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
