Rohini
For fifteen years I have run a roadside café in Rohini. In August, a fire in the building took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $750 goes: • Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $450 • Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $95 • Shop repairs and licensing: $85 • Working capital for the first month: $120 Thank you so much. - Pranjal

Updates from Pranjal

  1. Update from Rohini: I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. We're at 37% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. 51% there. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Thank you.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 70% funded and I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Pranjal?

Thank you. If you're in Rohini I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.

So sorry you're going through this, Pranjal. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Mumbai.

Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
