Amaka wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Help Amaka stay in her own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇳🇬 Rivers, Nigeria1,086 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 82. After the death of her spouse Amaka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Amaka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Amaka worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $450 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $260
• Medication and prescriptions: $90
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $50
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hang in there, Sani. This could happen to any of us. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Bonny.
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
