The gas account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $250. I have never been late before losing my job in August.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Heating arrears: $180
• Reconnection and late fees: $40
• Down payment on a payment plan: $30
