A youth football pitch for the Liberty health centre yard: help our neighbors in Ottawa

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $4,250. It will serve about 90 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $4,250 goes: • Materials: $3,200 • Permits and inspections: $140 • Safety equipment and signage: $390 • Tools hire and delivery: $520 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Ramon
