Could you share an hour a week with Ana?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Ana is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ana, who's 83. Ana lives alone in Ribeirão Preto, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Ana loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Arthur. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 24 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Praying for you. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
You're not alone, Arthur. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together.
Praying for you, Arthur. Shared it with a few friends. God bless.
I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Adama so I could bring a meal.
