A youth football pitch for the Harmony community hall: help our neighbors in Istanbul
Volunteers in Istanbul are raising $700 for a youth football pitch at the Harmony community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 173 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $430
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
