A youth football pitch for the Cedar vacant lot: help our neighbors in Colorado Springs

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $4,850 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $4,850. It will serve about 147 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $4,850 goes: • Materials: $3,550 • Permits and inspections: $370 • Safety equipment and signage: $420 • Tools hire and delivery: $510 Every share and every dollar helps.
