I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $250 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $190 • Towing and inspection: $20 • Labor charges: $40 Thanks for being kind about this.

Praying for you. Hope the shop reopens soon. God bless

    • thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Heliopolis.

      • So sorry you're going through this, Otieno. Shared this with my family. Take care

        • So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 28 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
