A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Lucknow
Volunteers in Lucknow are raising $350 for a youth football pitch at the Maple community hall.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 125 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $240
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- Really cared about my situation
This helper is honest and transparent about what they can do. They didn't overpromise, but they did deliver excellent results. I would definitely trust them again.
- Amazing support system
I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

Good luck. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Faisalabad.
Keep going, Krishnan. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.

Wishing you the best, Krishnan. It takes guts to ask. Well done
