Help Cooper with an overdue gas bill before the rainy season

The gas account is 3 months behind. Cooper received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $600 is paid. He had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Cooper called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $110 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Cooper is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. After 19 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
