A weekly visit for Kyung-mi, 73, who lives alone in Incheon

Kyung-mi lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Kyung-mi, who's 73. Kyung-mi lives alone in Incheon, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Kyung-mi loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Hang in there, Young-ja. Hope this works out for you. After 30 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
