A weekly visit for Inna, 77, who lives alone in Yekaterinburg

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Inna is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Inna, who's 77. Inna lives alone in Yekaterinburg, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Inna loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
