Could you share an hour a week with Ida?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Ida is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ida, who's 75. Ida lives alone in Nuremberg, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 257 kilometers away.
Ida loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Nuremberg.
