A weekly visit for Bhavna, 91, who lives alone in Jalandhar

I'm writing for my neighbor Bhavna, who's 91. Bhavna lives alone in Jalandhar, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Bhavna loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
