A skate park for Cedar Park: help our neighbors in Badagry
A community-led a skate park at Cedar Park that will serve 351 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $145, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 351 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $200 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
• Materials: $155
Thanks for being kind about this.

you're not alone, Ifeoma. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it!
