A skate park for Baobab Park: help our neighbors in San Francisco
Volunteers in San Francisco are raising $4,700 for a skate park at Baobab Park.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $4,700.
It will serve about 190 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Tools hire and delivery: $460
