Narayanganj fire in the settlement relief - the Millbrook district
Neighbors in the Millbrook district are rebuilding after the fire in the settlement; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The fire in the settlement hit the Millbrook district on 29 August. My home was one of 31 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $600 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $190
• Clean water and purification supplies: $85
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $130
• Roofing sheets and timber: $195
Thank you for reading my story.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Asif?
Thank you. If you're in Narayanganj I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. I'll keep the page updated.
Wishing you peace, Asif. Looking forward to the next update
Sending love, Asif. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Johannesburg.
