Help Kevin restart a bicycle repair shop in Columbus after the demolition of the market
A bicycle repair shop in Columbus needs help replacing a full set of tools after the demolition of the market.
🇺🇸 United States1,757 views
For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Columbus. In July, the demolition of the market took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Initial stock: spare parts: $360
• Shop repairs and licensing: $550
• Working capital for the first month: $790
Thank you so much.

Sending love. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Malmö donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
keep going. Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
take care. I hope things turn around soon. Please keep us posted.
best of luck, Kevin. Hope the shop reopens soon. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
You're not alone. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kevin
Sure. The biggest one is initial stock: spare parts, $360. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
Hang in there, Kevin. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care
Sending good thoughts, Kevin. Shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Perth.
