A skate park for Acacia Park: help our neighbors in Mumbai
A community-led a skate park at Acacia Park that will serve 392 neighbors.
🇮🇳 India798 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 392 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $155
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
