Lamia needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Lamia is eight weeks into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm eight weeks into recovery from cannabis dependence. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
- effort
- 1 call a week

- Online or by phone
- skills
- lived experience, empathy

Hope it all works out, Lamia. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Love from Joliet.
Wishing Lamia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Gazipur.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Shubra.
Stay strong, Lamia. I hope things turn around soon. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Radom.
Hope things get better soon. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 30 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Gazipur.
you're not alone. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Piraeus!
stay strong. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Sending good thoughts. Wishing Lamia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Ciudad de México but we're thinking of you. Take care.
