A service dog for Payal, a navy veteran in Hyderabad
A navy veteran in Hyderabad needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.
🇮🇳 Telangana, India1,823 views
I served six years in the navy and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $800 goes:
• Training provider fees: $470
• Housing deposit and first month: $175
• Transport to appointments: $70
• Essential household items: $85
With deep gratitude,
Payal

Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Sukkur but we're thinking of you.
wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Nuremberg.
You're not alone, Payal. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Bellevue.
