A pair of hearing aids for Anita: help Anita move freely
Anita needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system will not fund; the cost is $450.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India821 views
Anita lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Nashik Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Anita could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $450 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• pair of hearing aids: $410
• First-year servicing plan: $25
I hope life is good to you.
