A service dog for Luna, an infantry veteran in Los Angeles
An infantry veteran in Los Angeles needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with hearing damage and PTSD.
🇺🇸 California, United States3,673 views
I served four years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $4,250.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,950
• Housing deposit and first month: $910
• Essential household items: $390
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Nairobi so I could bring a meal. God bless
hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Good luck, Luna. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from La Plata!
Hope you get there. My neighbor in Victoria donated after I showed her your page. All the best
