A service dog for Hitesh, a navy veteran in Bengaluru
A navy veteran in Bengaluru needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.

I served fourteen years in the navy and was discharged in 2024 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $650 goes:
• Training provider fees: $210
• Housing deposit and first month: $290
• Transport to appointments: $75
• Essential household items: $75
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope things get better soon, Hitesh. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Córdoba
