Every year the Free Bike Repair Day brings together 291 neighbors in Tokyo. I help organize it with 11 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Good luck. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out!

    • Take care. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

      • Hope it all works out. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
