Prayagraj
I served eight years in the navy and was discharged in 2022 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $700. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $700 goes: • Training provider fees: $380 • Housing deposit and first month: $210 • Transport to appointments: $35 • Essential household items: $75 Glad we found this place.

Updates from Dinesh

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($314 in total) I made the first payment toward training provider fees. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
