Volunteers wanted: Siti's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Semarang: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 87 and I have lived in this house in Semarang for 28 years. After the storm in September, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Siti. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
