Bang Khen
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 206 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $570 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Hathai
