My mother Amber has been accepted for treatment at Los Angeles University Hospital in Los Angeles, starting on Friday in October. We live 286 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Amber and me. We can contribute $95 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Amber will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you so much.

  • you're not alone, Samuel. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

    • Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Nairobi.

      • Good luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.

        • Sending strength, Samuel. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Los Angeles

          • Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Please keep us posted. God bless.
