A pair of hearing aids for Nonso: help Nonso move freely
Nonso needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $650.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria462 views
Nonso lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Lagos Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Nonso could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $650 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $520
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $80
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
