Miguel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at the Palmira Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has said Miguel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Miguel has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Miguel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Miguel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $400
• Final term tuition: $430
• Textbooks and materials: $70

Hope things get better soon, Tomás. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Yekaterinburg so I could bring a meal. Take care
wishing you the best, Tomás. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
