A free library and reading room for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Nha Trang

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 298 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $570 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $110 Thanks for reading all this. - Tâm
