A covered market stall space for the Sycamore health centre yard: help our neighbors in Lahore
Volunteers in Lahore are raising $250 for a covered market stall space at the Sycamore health centre yard.
🇵🇰 Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan965 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 594 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $165
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

shared it with a few friends. After 19 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Sending love. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
Good luck, Zara. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Riverside.
