A community-led a covered market stall space at Lotus Park that will serve 278 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,200.
It will serve about 278 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Materials: $780
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Safety equipment and signage: $170
• Tools hire and delivery: $125
Thank you so much.

Wishing you the best, Sebastian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care!
