Help Ruwan pay for gallbladder removal at Saint Francis Hospital
A scheduled gallbladder removal in November is out of reach without help covering $1,050 of the cost.

Ruwan was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ruwan struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Ruwan won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.

• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65
