I coordinate donations at the Liberty Community Church in Dortmund. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Dortmund, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Community Church on Monday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Wish I lived closer to Los Angeles so I could bring a meal. All the best.

Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
