Volunteers wanted: Nahid's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Derry: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 71 and I have lived in this house in Derry for 40 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you the best. Wishing Nahid a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Palermo.
