I coordinate donations at Liberty Women's Shelter in Bloemfontein. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Bloemfontein, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Women's Shelter on Friday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
